Forethought Consulting, Inc. specializes in helping school boards manage policies and policy manuals.  Forethought Consulting, Inc. has been providing policy consulting assistance in the review, revision and maintenance of school board policy manuals for over 40 years.  Forethought has worked with several states in the southern region, and is presently working with 64 school systems in Louisiana, as well as a growing number of charter schools. The Policy Updating Service, which is currently available only to school boards in Louisiana, includes a regular review of school board minutes, preparation of policies affected, sample policy statements, and receipt of the POLICY Alert Newsletter, including the Legislative Update issue which brings school boards up-to-date with Legislative changes affecting policy and school board operations. The Computer Assisted Policy Service (CAPS), which is now being offered outside of Louisiana, converts policy manuals into an easy-to-use, computer format, with excellent search capabilities.  Included are State Bulletins and Statutes, simplifying the search for regulatory information.
